With deep roots dated over a century ago, the 17-hectare HealthCity Novena is an established dynamic healthcare precinct that sits between Moulmein Road and Irrawaddy Road in central Singapore. Its establishments include Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Dover Park Hospice, Ren Ci Hospital, the National Skin Centre, the National Neuroscience Institute and the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
Launched on 30 August 2013 by former Minister for Health, Mr Gan Kim Yong, this was the first mega integrated healthcare development to spearhead a complete and holistic eco-system that links up a wide spectrum of health services, research and education, commercial, leisure and public spaces.
This master plan will be developed in two major phases. In the first phase, we have seen the completion and opening of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine's Clinical Sciences Building, the National Centre for Infectious Diseases and the Ng Teng Fong Centre for Healthcare Innovation. The last two buildings, the revamped and expanded National Skin Centre and the Tan Tock Seng Hospital Integrated Care Hub are set to open in 2023.
The second phase will map out new care models for outpatient and ambulatory care, in line with TTSH's expanded mission of population health. More details will be released soon.
This will be an exciting space designed to realise tomorrow's healthcare today. HealthCity Novena, where Healthy Life is Central.
