In March 2023, AWWA, PanCare Medical Clinic, the Silver Generation Office (SGO), the Yio Chu Kang Grassroots Organization, Health Promotion Board (HPB) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital co-organized Health Fiesta: Meet A Healthier You! as a ground-up initiative to deliver preventive care to residents residing withinAWWA’s CoC boundary. The comprehensive health screening event, which was held over two days, saw multiple key stakeholders collaborate in multiple areas
of:
- Outreach to senior residents by AWWA and SGO, and non-senior residents by Yio Chu Kang Grassroots Organization;
- Provision of chronic illness screening to eligible residents aged 40 years and above by PanCare Medical Clinic;
- Provision of dementia screening by AWWA;
- Provision of falls risk and functional screening to residents aged 60 years and above by TTSH, HPB and volunteers.

In addition, PanCare Medical Clinic provided vaccinations to all residents and simple counselling to all participants post-screening on how to keep themselves healthy. AWWA and Yio Chu Kang Grassroots Organization further complemented these efforts by rallying various interest groups to introduce activities that residents may participate in to stay active and healthy.

In all, 241 residents participated in the event and benefited from the joint efforts of the partners of the AWWA CoC network.
