Biodata

Dr. Mona Manghani is a Senior Consultant at the Department of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology, holds Adjunct Assistant Professorship at the NTU-Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine and is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. 

Dr. Mona Manghani completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Wales, College of Medicine in 1998 and obtained Membership at the Royal College of Medicine in London in 2001. She went on to complete her advanced rheumatology training at Northwick Park Hospital in London and subsequently at Concord, Royal Prince Alfred and St. Vincent's Hospitals in Sydney.  From 2003 to 2004, she completed fellowship training at the University of Basel/Felix Platter Hospital, in Switzerland under the mentorship of Professor Alan Tyndall, and from 2004-2005 further fellowship training in sports medicine at the New South Wales Institute of Sports Medicine in Sydney. She completed her board certification in Lifestyle Medicine in 2023 (International Board of Lifestyle Medicine). 

She has obtained EULAR (European League Against Rheumatism) Level 1 and 2 Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Certification and Certification in Clinician Performed Ultrasound (CCPU) awarded by the Australian Society of Ultrasound Medicine (ASUM). She is a EULAR Certified Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Trainer,  Musculoskeletal Examiner for ASUM and Chair of the Chapter of Rheumatologists Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Accreditation Committee. 

​Dr. Manghani is an engaging student-centred educator involved in both undergraduate teaching with experience in modern online delivery and team-based learning. She has an avid interest in postgraduate education as and has organized and taught at several musculoskeletal ultrasound workshops at local and international meetings. Her current clinical research interests are in idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, musculoskeletal imaging and lifestyle medicine interventions in rheumatic disease.
