The SRP track is conceptualized to support multi-year thematic strategic research programmes that drive value through translational research, firmly aligned to the hospital’s mission seeking population-focused outcomes for:
-
Long-term sustainability of health care system
- Intentionally steering funding towards ‘downstream research (T3-T4)’ readily implemented into practice and translated into innovative care models
-
Develop pipeline of clinician-researchers who contribute effectively to TTSH as well as the national research and innovation landscape
The essential components of these programmes are to be anchored by three guiding principles that address current research funding gaps:
-
Synergistic: SRPs should be multidisciplinary and integrated to maximise outcomes of research activities
-
Translatable: SRPs should develop evidence for new care models that can be adopted, for better patient outcomes not just in the individual, but also at the population level
-
Impact: SRPs should incorporate elements of social, behavioural, implementation and health services outcomes (T3-T4) research
