The Hospital Management Asia (HMA) Awards, previously known as the Asian Hospital Management Awards, is a prestigious honour which recognises best practices in Asia's hospitals.
TTSH received 2 Gold awards in recognition for our innovative and progressive approaches to healthcare outcomes.
Financial Improvement [Gold Award] – ERAS Knee Arthroplasty Care Model Transformation
Our 2023 Tan Tock Seng Milestone Award recipient – the Knee Arthroplasty Care Model Transformation, was conferred the Gold Award in the Financial Improvement category for its efforts in driving cost savings while maintaining quality of care for patients undergoing Knee Arthroplasty. Through the adoption of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols, process and job redesign, significant improvements have been made in patient care for these patients which have reduced the average length of stay and in turn led to healthcare cost savings.
Hospital CEO of the Year [Gold Award] – Prof Eugene Fidelis Soh, Chief Executive Officer, for the “Hospital without Walls” Digital Transformation Strategy
Prof Soh was conferred the inaugural Hospital CEO of the Year Award, in recognition of TTSH's “Hospital without Walls (HoW)” Digital Transformation Strategy.
HoW was conceptualised to envision healthcare that extends beyond the walls of the hospital and into communities where patients and residents are empowered by digital enablers to take charge of their own care with our partners' support. HoW itself serves an enabler for TTSH to achieve our Triple Mission of Tertiary Care Excellence, Future Health Excellence and Population Health Excellence as TTSH work Towards Central Health 2030.
Since its inception, more than 88 Strategic Innovation Programmes (SIP) initiatives and 30 Digital Innovation Technologies (DIT) projects have been completed or are ongoing.
