Dear Partners and Friends,

It has been several months of the nation gradually re-opening after the Circuit Breaker, and all of us across Central Singapore have been learning to navigate the new normal way of living, working, and caring for our residents. Naturally, we are also constantly finding ways to create and maintain safer, healthier workplaces for our colleagues and volunteers.

In this November issue of the Central Health Newsletter, we are honoured to have the CEOs of Dover Park Hospice and Tsao Foundation share their thoughts on what safety in the community and workplace means to them. Even as DPH was finding digital means to care for their patients; for Tsao Foundation, COVID-19 underlined the importance of collaboration to ensure that the population is properly cared for. We also share about Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s approach to workplace safety and health and how we are making changes to the way we work post-COVID-19 through greater staff support, integrated care, and digitalisation.

As we remain physically distanced in the workplace for the sake of our collective health, there are ways to keep connected. For this month’s Central Health tips, we bring to you the first part of a two-part series on keeping connected with one another in this time.

Another way to keep connected is to continue to learn and share together. In November and December, we will have two opportunities to come together with the upcoming Singapore Patient Conference on 6 November and the third Central Health Action & Learning Kampung (CHALK2020) in December. CHALK2020 will be about “Caring in the New Normal”, leveraging on digitalisation and on our community ties. We invite our Central Health community and partners to take a break and join us at these events. See you soon!

Yours Truly,
Ms Loh Shu Ching
Executive Director,
Division for Central Health
Tan Tock Seng Hospital & Central Health
