GPFirst - Your Family Doctor, Your First Stop
The GPFirst programme encourages residents with mild to moderate, or non-emergency conditions to first seek treatment with a family doctor for more timely medical treatment rather than at the acute hospital's Emergency Department (ED). This also enables ED to focus on more urgent cases requiring medical attention.
How GPFirst works
Patients who are referred to TTSH's ED by a participating GPFirst clinic will receive a $50 subsidy on the prevailing ED attendance fee. Patients referred to TTSH ED under this scheme must visit TTSH ED within the same day of the referral. They must bring along the original GPFirst referral form and present it at TTSH ED together with their identification documents.
