About BEST Course

The Basic Emergency Sonography for Trauma (BEST) course aims to train doctors in the basic principles and practice of ultrasound in the emergency settings of trauma and abdominal aortic aneurysms.

The 2-day course programme comprises of didactic lectures (25%) and hands-on guided practice sessions on real patients (75%). The course faculty comprises of Radiologists, Emergency Physicians, and Trauma Surgeons.

This course is designed for doctors who have to deal with trauma patients in an emergency setting. Non physicians are also welcome.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to:

  • Attain essential knowledge and principles to utilize ultrasound technique in trauma management
  • Develop advance skills and competency of clinical applications of ultrasound in trauma
  • Demonstrate practical skills with the guide of multidisciplinary faculty
