Overview
The Department of Neurology serves as the national referral centre for patients with neurological conditions. The Neurology Department, at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), consists of a robust team of highly trained specialists, nurse clinicians and nurses from various neurological sub-specialties, dedicated to who treat different various kinds of brain and nervous system diseasesdisorders.
Since its inceptionestablishment, the Department has focused on developing evidence- based management guidelines and a high standard of patient managementcare. It also focuses on clinical research and teachingeducation. Several multidisciplinary programmes have been established, including stroke, Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders, Alzheimer's disease and dementia, epilepsy and neuromuscular disorders. To improve enhance accessibility of such programmes to patients, subspecialty outpatient clinics have been introduced.
