Biodata

Dr Pankaj Handa works as a Senior Consultant in Department of General Medicine. He is also appointed Adj Asst Professor (NUS Medicine) and a Content expert and Clinical teacher (LKC Medicine). After his initial training in medicine in India (MBBS and MD- General Medicine) he obtained MRCP (2001) and FRCP (2014) from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He moved to Singapore in 2002 and was awarded FAMS (Internal Medicine) in 2006. He completed a post graduate program in Vascular Medicine at McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada (2011- 2012).

He is the former chairman of Chapter of General Physicians, Academy of Medicine, Singapore and currently an internal auditor and a council member of Singapore Hypertension Society. He is a lead author of Hospital Venous Thromboembolism Prophylaxis guidelines at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (2014). He was also appointed as member of expert group for Agency for care effectiveness (ACE) Chronic Kidney Disease, Ministry of Health, Singapore (2020-2022).

He is a dedicated and competent clinician who displays great enthusiasm for practice and teaching of clinical medicine to the junior doctors and medical students. Over the years, he has been actively involved in the development of vascular medicine and hypertension service at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He regularly organizes and chairs CMEs on topics of clinical interest in this field. He has number of publications in this area in peer reviewed journals.
