Emergency Neurological Life Support (ENLS) is a practical course designed to help healthcare professionals improve patient care during the first critical hours of patients' neurological emergencies through a multi-disciplinary approach. ENLS covers fourteen key topics such as traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, ischemic and haemorrhagic stroke, intracranial hypertension and herniation. Each topic is presented with a multidisciplinary focus and organized using a consistent set of protocols, practical checklists, decision points, and communication tools.
The program is developed by Neurocritical Care Society, an independent non-profit organization, and will be delivered by an expert group of Neurointensivists from Singapore. It is organised and hosted by Department of Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Medicine, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore.
Participants will receive access before the course to an online library of ENLS materials with slides and podcasts to supplement their learning and aid in consolidation of knowledge. All participants will also receive access to the online certification examination should they wish to become certified in ENLS by the Neurocritical Care Society following the course (optional).
