Functional Living Skills in Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation

Synopsis

In this one day course, participants will gain a better understanding of how HF and COPD can affect one’s daily activity performance and mental wellbeing. Participants will be able to gain skills to assess and provide effective intervention strategies to encourage patients to self-manage their medical conditions to engage in daily activities.

Description

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Understand how respiratory and cardiac conditions impact one’s function and mental well-being
  2. Plan a holistic assessment for patients with respiratory and cardiac conditions.
  3. Develop appropriate and effective treatment plans for patients with respiratory and cardiac issues
  4. Facilitate a client centred self-management session for individual and group sessions
