Clinical Associate Professor Wong Hon Tym is the Clinical Director of the Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI). CHI is an open co-learning network organization, primarily focused on healthcare workforce transformation.
He was also the Pro-Tem Chief of the Ophthalmology Department at the upcoming Woodlands Health Campus, while continuing to serve as a Senior Consultant in Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s Ophthalmology Department and as a member of the hospital’s Medical Board.
From 2008-2015, he was Clinical Director of NHG 1-Health, a community ambulatory surgery centre, where he led and sustained the design and practice of a streamlined cataract surgery value-added process (VAP).
A/Prof Wong obtained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and his Masters degree in Medicine (Ophthalmology) in 1999. A/Prof Wong was awarded Singapore’s Ministry of Health Manpower Development Programme scholarship in 2002, and underwent his clinical fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital, UK, where his sub-specialty training focused on optic nerve head imaging in glaucoma. His research projects, covering topics such as glaucoma surgery, anterior segment imaging and therapeutics have been published in major peer-reviewed journals and presented at conferences such as ARVO.
A/Prof Wong plays an active role in the training and education of junior ophthalmologists in Singapore, and his efforts were with multiple Best Teacher Awards. He has been mentor to four clinical fellows and has been a course instructor at the American Academy of Ophthalmology Meeting, the World Glaucoma Congress and the European Glaucoma Society Congress.
His efforts in quality patient care have also been recognized with Singapore’s Excellent Service Star Award in 2006. His current appointments as Critical Incident Manager and Open Communication instructor reflects his keen interest in the area of patient communication. In 2013, A/Prof Wong received the Distinguished Service Award from Khoo Teck Puat Hospital for Eye and Vision Health, and in 2014 he was the proud recipient of the National Healthcare Group Outstanding Citizenship Award.

Dr Benjamin Chang is a Senior Consultant ophthalmologist at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, National Healthcare Group. He holds visiting consultant appointments with Tan Tock Seng Hospital and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
He completed medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1995. He subsequently obtained a Masters diploma in Medical Science (Anatomy) with University College Dublin in 1997. Dr Chang completed his higher specialist training in ophthalmology in Ireland and underwent subspecialty training in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.

A/Prof Tan manages patients with retinal conditions such as age related macular degeneration, retinal vascular diseases, polypoidal choroidal vasculopathy and diabetic retinopathy, and performs ocular surgeries such as cataract extraction. A/Prof Tan has received the National Medical Research Council Transition Award. He is widely sought after as a respected global key-opinion leader in the field of phacoemulsification, intraocular lens design, refractive surgery, corneal topography, ocular wavefront aberrations and visual optics. He has a keen interest in the design and optimising of new phacoemulsification and intraocular lens technologies. He is an active member of the prestigious IOL Power Club, an expert group dedicated to improving cataract outcomes.

Clinical Associate Professor Heng Wee Jin is Deputy Medical Director of the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute (NHGEI) and Deputy Clinical Director of Singapore Eye Bank. He is also the Past President of the College of Ophthalmologists, Academy of Medicine of Singapore.
Clin Assoc Prof Heng is Head and Senior Consultant of Cornea Service and Refractive Surgery in NHGEI. As a nationally and internationally recognised specialist in corneal diseases, refractive and cataract surgery, he is particularly experienced in performing LASIK, PRK, Corneal Transplantation, Excimer Laser PTK, Phakic Intraocular Lens implantation, Corneal Cross-linking, as well as managing Keratoconus, Corneal Dystrophies, Recurrent Corneal Erosions, Contact Lens-related problems, and other diseases of the cornea and ocular surface. He was instrumental in setting up the Hospital Cornea Donation Programme in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) in 2003.

She underwent higher specialist training in ophthalmology in Ireland and subsequently trained in the ophthalmic subspecialty of uveitis at the Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in the Scotland. Her research interests include intraocular inflammatory disorders and Pseudoexfoliation syndrome. She has been awarded several prizes for her research including the Barbara Knox Medal at the annual conference of the Irish College of Ophthalmologists in 2001 for her work on “The role of tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinase-1 in Pseudoexfoliation syndrome†and the Registrar's Prize at the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland meeting in 1999. Adjunct Asst Prof Leonard Yip received his medical degree from the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom in 1995. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, United Kingdom and a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore. As a recipient of the Ministry of Health Human Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship, Dr Yip completed a Fellowship in Glaucoma with the University of British Columbia, Canada under the mentorship of Professor Frederick Mikelberg and the esteemed faculty of the Eye Care Centre, Vancouver.
Dr Yip is currently a Senior Consultant Ophthalmologist in the Department of Ophthalmology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and NHG Eye Institute. He is the Head of the Glaucoma Service, NHG Eye Institute. He also holds the appointment of Adjunct Assistant Professor, Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University and Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. Besides general eye diseases, expertise in the area of cataract surgery includes the use of toric and multifocal intraocular lenses. Expertise in the management of glaucoma includes laser peripheral iridotomy, selective laser trabeculoplasty, trabeculectomy, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, aqueous shunt (tube) surgery, goniosynechiolysis and transcleral cyclophotocoagulation.
Aside from clinical practice, Dr Yip is active in clinical research and has published in numerous international ophthalmology journals. His research interests are in glaucoma, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, visual fields, optic nerve head and retinal nerve fibre layer imaging. She has a special interest in motility problems of neurologic origin. Adjunct Professor Lim Tock Han is the immediate past director of NHG Eye Institute, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore.
He was fellowship trained in Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Mn, USA. Among his clinical and research interests are Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) and Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy (PCV). He has pioneered the use of Confocal Scanning Laser Indocyanine Angiography (CSLO-ICGA) in the region for the diagnosis and treatment of PCV, culminating in the setting up of the region's first reading centre for PCV imaging (Fundus Imaging Reading Centre, FIRC) and the EVEREST Trial (by Novartis), the first prospective randomized controlled trial of PCV.
He was the founding Designated Institutional Official for the NHG-AHPL Residency Programme, one of first institution worldwide accredited by Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education International (ACGME-I).

Dr Nicola Gan is a Senior Consultant with the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute @ Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Deputy Head of the Vitreo-Retina Service.
Dr Gan completed her undergraduate medical training at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2007, where she graduated with Bachelor degrees in Medicine and Surgery and was placed on the Dean's list, with Distinctions in Medicine and Biochemistry. She underwent postgraduate training in Ophthalmology and was awarded Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) from the National University of Singapore in 2011 and subsequently elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (London) in 2014. She completed her local Ophthalmology specialist exit exam in 2014 and was awarded Gold Medals for being the Best Candidate in Retina, Uveitis, Glaucoma, and Paediatric Ophthalmology. She was also a recipient of the Ministry of Health Training Scholarship in 2009 and completed her overseas fellowship training in Surgical and Medical Retina at the University of Toronto from 2015-2016. Dr Gan's areas of surgical interest are in Surgical Retina and Cataract. She specializes in vitrectomy surgery for retinal detachments, pathological myopia-related diseases, diabetic eye disease, macular surgeries and ocular trauma. Dr Gan also runs a Medical Retina practice, which includes more commonly, the treatment of age-related macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.
Dr Gan is active in research and has presented at multiple local and international Ophthalmology conferences. She was awarded the NHG Eye Institute Allergan research prize for best paper presentation (Junior Category) in 2008 and 2010, the NHG Eye Institute Award of Distinction for best paper presentation (Intermediate category) in 2013, and the Singapore Eye Foundation Award for 1st runner up paper presentation (Senior Category) in 2014.

Dr James Pan is a Senior Consultant Eye Surgeon with the Department of Ophthalmology, Woodlands Health and National Healthcare Group Eye Institute.
Dr Pan graduated from National University of Singapore in 1995 and was placed on the Dean’s List as one of the top students. He went on to be trained in Ophthalmology in Singapore, and then underwent specialty fellowship training in Cornea, External Eye Diseases and Refractive Surgery at Royal Perth Hospital, Lions Eye Institute and Fremantle Hospital, Western Australia. As a corneal specialist, Dr Pan established the cornea subspecialty service at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Alexandra Hospital (currently situated at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital) in 2006. The following year, he performed the first corneal transplant in the hospital.
Dr Pan believes in sharing his knowledge with the medical community and in training future doctors and ophthalmologists. He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at NUS Medicine and Teaching Faculty of LKC Medicine and NHG Residency. He has published numerous scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals. A strong believer in Primary Eye Care, Dr Pan is also involved in the training of Optometrists to manage patients with stable eye conditions in Optometrist-led Eye Clinics.

After completing his residency and fellowship in Uveitis and Ocular trauma from Sankara Netralaya, Chennai (1999-2003), he was a faculty member at Shri Ganapati Netralaya, Jalna (2003-2008) and L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India (2008-2009). After being awarded the NMRC overseas research training fellowship, he spent time at Moorfields Eye Hospital (MEH), London with Prof Carlos Pavesio and completed his MD (Res) training fellowship at Institute of Ophthalmology, University College London (UCL) (Nov' 2012 – Oct' 2014) and is now associated with Institute of Ophthalmology as Research Associate and as Honorary consultant with MEH. His clinical areas of expertise are ocular inflammatory disorders (uveitis) including ocular tuberculosis and HIV and ocular trauma.
He has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented several papers, lectures on uveitis and ocular trauma. He is a recipient of numerous grants for basic-translational science projects pertinent to ocular inflammation and drug delivery. He is associated with Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI) as Co-Head of Ocular infections and antimicrobials, with Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) as Associate Professor and as Adjunct Associate Professor with Eye ACP Programme at Duke NUS Medical School.
His key research areas of interest are: Development of sustained release drugs for back of the eye, Novel biological markers for ocular inflammation, Characterising red blood cell behaviour and its implications in diabetic retinopathy. Dr Ang completed his undergraduate studies at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he graduated on the Dean's List for multiple academic years, was awarded a Distinction in Surgery and recognized as the 2nd Best Candidate in Surgery in his cohort. He further obtained his Masters in Medicine (Ophthalmology) from NUS, receiving the Gold Medal as the best candidate in the examinations. Upon completion of his specialist training, Dr Ang was elected as a Fellow of both the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (London) in 2016 and the Academy of Medicine Singapore in 2017. Dr Ang sub-specializes in Glaucoma and Cataract Surgery. His work in glaucoma surgery and surgical techniques, particularly in Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery, have been recognized internationally, winning prestigious awards such as the 2nd Best Surgical Film Award at the World Glaucoma Congress 2019 and the Best Video Award at the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) Annual Meeting 2021. Dr Ang is a regular speaker and instructor at regional and international conferences, including the Asia-Pacific Glaucoma Congress, AAO Annual Meeting and the World Ophthalmology Congress. He completed his undergraduate medical training at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2011. During his training, he was awarded the Dr Abdul Aziz Scholarship and the LBKM scholarship for academic achievements.

Dr. Stanley is also a clinical senior lecturer NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and LKC Clinical Teacher/Clinical Practice Facilitator/Content Expert.

Commander Stanley retired from the US Navy in July 2010 after 27 years of active service. He has been posted as a Consultant Ophthalmologist to such locations as San Diego, CA, Okinawa, Japan and Guam. While on Okinawa, he completed his Masters of Business Administration Degree while working full time as department head. He was deployed as consultant ophthalmologist aboard USNS COMFORT (T-AH 20) during Operation Continuing Promise in 2009 providing humanitarian eye surgery in Central and South America. His last post before retiring was as the director of cornea and refractive surgery at National Naval Medical Center Bethesda Maryland. There, he was active in teaching, research and direct patient care. He has been performing mission-enhancing laser refractive surgery (PRK and LASIK) on active duty personnel since 1996.
After graduating from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana, Ensign Stanley entered the US Navy in 1983 and was trained and qualified as a surface warfare officer. Following several Western Pacific deployments on USS Niagara Falls (AFS-3), he was selected to attend medical school. He completed his medical degree at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, Maryland in 1990. He completed his transitional internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego, CA. Prior to ophthalmology residency, Dr. Stanley was an Emergency Department physician at Subic Bay Naval Hospital, Republic of the Philippines until the base closure in 1992. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego in 1996, and in 2008, a cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland.

She underwent postgraduate training in Ophthalmology and was awarded Masters of Medicine (Ophthalmology) in 2013. She obtained her specialist accreditation in 2016. Dr Tan was awarded the Singapore Ministry of Health Manpower Development Programme (HMDP) Scholarship in 2018 and completed a one-year overseas clinical fellowship training in Neuro- ophthalmology and Low Vision Rehabilitation at Vancouver General Hospital, University of British Columbia, Canada under Professors Jason Barton and Mary-Lou Jackson.

Dr Yip completed her undergraduate medical training at St Bartholomew’s and the Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry, United Kingdom in 2006, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Subsequently, she earned her Masters of Medicine in Ophthalmology in 2012, and successfully completed her specialist Ophthalmology training in 2016. She is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore).
During her Ophthalmology training, she was appointed chief medical officer and chief registrar in 2009 and 2016 respectively. Dr Yip also completed a 2-year fellowship in Glaucoma with the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute @ Tan Tock Seng Hospital from 2017-2019. During her training, Dr Yip was mentored by Professor Ike Ahmed in Glaucoma and Anterior Segment Surgery at Prism Eye Institute and Trillium Health Partners in Toronto, Canada. Dr Yip currently serves as the Deputy head of Glaucoma at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

She completed her clinical fellowship in Vitreo-Retina and Medical Retina in 2022 at the NHGEI. She was then awarded the TTSH Training and Development Award and went on to serve as a senior vitreo-retina clinical fellow at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford Eye Hospital in 2023. She was under the tutelage of the renowned vitreoretinal team including Professor Robert MacLaren, Mr CK Patel, Mr Paul Rosen, Mr Sher Aslam, Mr Xue Kanmin and Miss Cehajic-Kapetanovic. She is trained in areas including complex vitreoretinal conditions, retinal genetic disorders, and participated in robotic vitreo-retina invited reviews and surgical trials.

He completed his Ophthalmology training at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital (UK), upon which he was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) and admitted to the UK Specialist Register by the General Medical Council. He was also admitted as a fellow to the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (London), and the European Board of Ophthalmologists (EBO).
Dr Siddharth underwent subspecialist training in vitreoretinal surgery at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. Upon completion, he worked as a Consultant Ophthalmologist & Vitreoretinal Surgeon at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (UK) for over 3 years, prior to joining the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute (NHGEI).
Dr Siddharth is active in both research, undergraduate, and postgraduate medical education, and is also an examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK). Dr Louis has also been involved in multiple leadership and administrative roles. Dr Soh Yu Qiang is a Consultant with the Department of Ophthalmology, Woodlands Health and National Healthcare Group Eye Institute.
He graduated in 2011 from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, for which he was awarded the Gold Medal and Book Prize in Ophthalmology. From 2011 to 2020 he completed his training as a clinician-scientist, in the Singapore Health Services (Singhealth) Ophthalmology residency program, for which he was awarded the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) international travel grant and the outstanding Singhealth resident award in 2012, as well as the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) national outstanding clinician scientist resident award in 2019.
His research interests include retinal diseases as well as regenerative corneal therapies, with more than 20 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals including Retina, Ophthalmology, American Journal of Ophthalmology as well as Nature Reviews Disease Primers. From 2019 to 2020, Dr Soh underwent further academic training in the conduct of clinical trials, under the Duke-NUS Clinical Sciences PhD program.
Following this, Dr Soh completed 2 consecutive subspeciality fellowships in vitreoretinal surgery from 2020 to 2022, at 2 of the largest tertiary referral hospitals in New Zealand, namely Auckland Hospital in the North Island as well as Christchurch Hospital in the South Island. His surgical interests include retinal detachments, surgical macular pathologies such as epiretinal membranes and vitreomacular traction, as well as complex retinal pathologies including diabetic tractional retinal detachments and secondary scleral intraocular lens fixations. Following completion of his fellowships, he was employed as a Consultant Ophthalmologist at both hospitals prior to joining the National Healthcare Group.

Dr Jeanne Ogle is a Principal Resident Physician with the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute @ Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
She completed her undergraduate medical training at the University of Science, Malaysia, where she graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1994. She earned her Masters of Surgery in Ophthalmology from the National University of Malaysia in 2000 and she is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists of Edinburgh.
Dr Ogle actively contributes to undergraduate medical education and has been appointed as a Clinical Lecturer with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS and Clinical Tutor with Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU.
In addition to her experience in General Ophthalmology and Adult Cataract surgery, Dr Ogle's interest is in Glaucoma.

Dr Tam is a Principal Resident Physician at National Healthcare Group Eye Institute @ Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). She is a member of the Cornea and Refractive Surgery Service. She is also one of the key trainers for optometrists for TTSH's Primary Eye Care (PEC) team.
Dr Tam underwent her basic medical training in Australia and graduated with B.Sc. (Medicine), M.B.B.S., from the University of New South Wales, Australia in 1995. She obtained her F.R.C.S. (Ophthalmology) from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 2003. Dr Tam underwent training as a clinical fellow in Cornea and Refractive Surgery in Tan Tock Seng Hospital in 2005.
Apart from being an eye clinician and surgeon, she has a keen interest in grooming TTSH's optometrists to be primary eye care providers for the Stable Eye Condition Clinics (SECC) and Community Eye Clinics (CEC). Since 2013, Dr Tam has been working closely with the TTSH's PEC committee to provide clinical guidance to TTSH's optometrists, mentoring them to be competent eye care professionals to deliver more timely and accessible eye care for the people in Singapore. Dr Tam was also a clinical tutor for University of Manchester-Singapore Polytechnic Optometry Degree Course from Year 2010 to 2014. She was also a mentor to photo-graders for TTSH's reading centre for Singapore Integrated Diabetic Retinopathy Programme (SiDRP).
Dr Tam actively contributes to undergraduate medical training and she is one of the appointed clinical teachers to undergraduate medical students of Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, as well as for Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.
Dr Tam is an Ophthalmologist who sees general eye conditions. She has special interests in conditions of the Cornea and works closely with the Corneal and Refractive Service in TTSH.

Dr Yeo Tun Hang is currently the Acting Head of Department and Head of Vitreoretinal Service at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He is also a Visiting Consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Dr Yeo completed medical school at the University of Western Australia, Perth with high distinctions in Ophthalmology, General Surgery and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. He returned to Singapore for Ophthalmology training under the ACGME-I (American Council of Graduate Medical Education – International) accredited Residency Program at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and was awarded Masters of Medicine (Ophthalmology) by the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2016. He subsequently attained Fellowship with the Academy of Medicine (Singapore) in 2019.
Dr Yeo is also an elected Fellow at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in the United Kingdom. The college awarded him with the Elizabeth Hunt Medal in 2017.
Dr Yeo was previously appointed as the Dr Eddie Donaldson Vitreoretinal Fellow at Sydney Eye Hospital, Australia, a quaternary ophthalmology referral centre, where his sub-specialty training focused on a wide range of retinal surgeries.
Dr Yeo is active in both research and undergraduate medical education. He is currently a Clinical Lecturer and Teaching Lead for KTPH Ophthalmology for Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS and Adjunct Lecturer at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University.
Dr Yeo’s area of clinical interests include surgical retina, medical retina, cataracts and general ophthalmology.

Dr David Law Zhiwei is a Consultant with the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Dr Law was awarded the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Local Study Award (Medicine) in 1999 and completed his undergraduate studies at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2004, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery. He was conferred the Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) in 2016 and is a qualified Oculoplastic Surgery specialist, having completed his clinical fellowship at Bristol Eye Hospital, United Kingdom in 2018. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore).
Dr Law has served in his professional capacity as a SAF Ophthalmologist, contributing to the review of ophthalmology-related medical grading and standards in the SAF. He has previously held various Command level appointments in the SAF Medical Corps and Navy Medical Service, and last served as the Chief Naval Medical Officer of the Republic of Singapore Navy from 2019 - 2023, while being concurrently appointed as a Visiting Consultant in Oculoplastic Surgery at TTSH. Dr Law retired from the SAF in end-2023 after 18 years of Regular service.
Dr Law has a keen interest in orbital diseases such as Thyroid Eye Disease and IgG4-related Orbital Disease, as well as reconstruction of the eyelids following tumour excision surgery. He also has a keen interest in clinical education, quality and standards as well as operations. He is the current Quality Review Officer for the Department of Ophthalmology, TTSH.
Dr Law is also a qualified Underwater Medicine Specialist, having trained with the United States Navy in 2005. He is currently a Visiting Consultant at the Hyperbaric and Diving Medicine Centre at Singapore General Hospital, with a special interest in the management of acute ocular conditions with adjuvant hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Dr Aaron Ng is an Associate Consultant with the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute (NHGEI) at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Dr Ng completed his undergraduate medical training at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He subsequently joined ophthalmology residency training at the National Healthcare Group and served as Chief Resident and Chief Senior Resident during his residency. He was awarded the Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) in 2022 and is a fellow of both the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK).
Dr Ng is active in research, having published in multiple peer reviewed ophthalmology journals and sharing his research at international conferences. Additionally, he has also contributed as an invited peer reviewer.
Dr Ng also participates actively in medical education. He is currently a clinical tutor with both the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.

Dr Darren Choy is an Associate Consultant with the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute (NHGEI) at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Dr Choy completed his undergraduate medical training at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, where he graduated with Bachelor degrees in Medicine and Surgery. Dr Choy subsequently underwent postgraduate training in Ophthalmology. He obtained his Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) from the National University of Singapore in 2021. He is currently a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK) and Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore).
Dr Choy is active in clinical research, having authored scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals. He has served both the Chief Resident and Chief Senior Resident in the department, and was awarded Outstanding Senior Resident Award in 2023. Dr Choy has a keen interest in education and teaching, and was awarded the Best Teacher Award in 2020 and 2022 by the department. He is an appointed Clinical Tutor with Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore.

Dr Sandy Zhou is an Associate Consultant with the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute (NHGEI) at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Dr Zhou completed her postgraduate residency training in Ophthalmology under the Ministry of Health Training Award. She obtained her Master in Medicine (Ophthalmology) from National University of Singapore in 2018, and successfully completed her Ophthalmology specialist examination in 2020. She is currently a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK) and Fellow of the Academy of Medicine (Singapore).
Dr Zhou embarked on a one-year surgical retina fellowship in Christchurch, New Zealand, where she gained valuable surgical experience to become a competent vitreoretinal surgeon. Taking her pursuit of excellence further, she completed a clinical research and medical retina fellowship at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in the USA, under the mentorship of Professor Philip Rosenfeld, an esteemed retina specialist known for his contributions to age-related macular degeneration (AMD). After completion of her fellowship in Bascom Palmer, Dr Zhou worked as a vitreoretinal consultant in Auckland medical center, the largest medical center in New Zealand for several months.
Dr Zhou’s passion for research is remarkable. As a medical student, she was granted the ARVO travel grant in 2012. Over the years, she has authored numerous scientific papers published in peer-reviewed international journals. During her time at Bascom Palmer, she was involved in cutting-edge research, including clinical trials related to geographic atrophy and wet AMD, and the integration of artificial intelligence in AMD and diabetes management. This experience also fostered her collaborations with prominent clinical researchers in the world.
Dr Zhou also engages in education of medical students, ophthalmology residents and optometrists. During her time in New Zealand, she was actively participating in both clinical and surgical teaching of RANZCO trainees.
Her clinical interest is surgical and medical retina and cataract.
