Dr Benjamin Chang is a Senior Consultant ophthalmologist and the Head of Department at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, National Healthcare Group. He holds visiting consultant appointments with Tan Tock Seng Hospital and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
He completed medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 1995. He subsequently obtained a Masters diploma in Medical Science (Anatomy) with University College Dublin in 1997. Dr Chang completed his higher specialist training in ophthalmology in Ireland and underwent subspecialty training in paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in London. His areas of ophthalmic practice include comprehensive ophthalmology, cataracts, paediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. He also holds teaching appointments as Adjunct Assistant Professor and Clinical Block Lead for ophthalmology for Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, and Adjunct Assistant Professor of ophthalmology in Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

Dr Lekha Gopal is a senior consultant at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. She completed her post graduate training at Sankara Nethralaya, Medical Research Foundation at Chennai, India. She was a gold medalist in Ophthalmology in her undergraduation in Bangalore Medical College. She trained in medical retina at Sankara Nethralaya and was a senior consultant there before moving to Singapore. Her special interests are age related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.

He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University.
Adjunct Prof. Yip is the Education Director in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and current president of the College of Clinician Educators, Academy of Medicine Singapore. His previous leadership roles include being the President, Asia-Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (2010-2012) and Vice President, College of Ophthalmologists, Singapore (2014-2018). He has more than 50 peer- reviewed publications and 5 book chapters. He is the editor, Orbit & Oculoplastics Section, Asia- Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology. Dr Hah Yan Yee is a Consultant with the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute (NHGEI) @ Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. She is currently undergoing cornea and refractive surgery fellowship training at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Dr Hah completed her undergraduate medical training at the King's College London, United Kingdom in 2009 where she graduated with Bachelor degrees in Medicine and Surgery and was awarded with Distinctions in Medical Sciences. She underwent postgraduate training in Ophthalmology in Singapore and was awarded Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) from the National University of Singapore in 2017. She completed her local Ophthalmology specialist exit exam in 2019 and subsequently elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (London) in the same year. Dr Hah is currently a member of the European Society of cataract & Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS).
Dr Hah is active in education and teaching, and she is an appointed Clinical Lecturer with Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. Dr Hah leads the cornea/external eye disease teaching rounds in KTPH and plans the corneal teaching CME in the department. She also gives lectures on cornea/external eye diseases in TTSH together with other fellow corneal consultants in TTSH to peers and juniors.
Dr Hah has a keen interest in clinical research and has presented her work at many local, regional and international conferences. She has also published numerous scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals.

Dr Jason Lee is currently a Consultant at the Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences Department, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital as well as a Visiting Consultant the Department of Ophthalmology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He graduated from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2005 and subsequently received his Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) from the National University of Singapore in 2011 and was subsequently elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (London) in 2015.
He was awarded the Ministry of Health Human Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Scholarship in 2017 and underwent further fellowship training in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the National Taiwan University Hospital Taiwan. Following that, he underwent a second fellowship with a focus on endoscopic lacrimal and orbital surgery at The Affiliated Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University, China. Dr Lee is currently a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore as well as a member of the Asia-Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr Lee's areas of specialty interest include Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Cataracts and General Ophthalmology.
He is currently a clinical lecturer with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS as well as an adjunct senior lecturer at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU. He was awarded the NHG teaching award for Senior Doctors in 2020.
Dr Lee is also a founding director of The Vision Mission, a non-profit humanitarian organization aimed at providing free basic eye care in Asian countries. He was awarded the Healthcare Humanity Award and the Young Eye Care Ambassador Award in 2016 for his humanitarian work.

Philip F Stanley, M.D. has been a Consultant at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital since July 2010. He is a diplomate of American Board of Ophthalmology since 1997 and a cornea specialist registered in Singapore as well as holding active medical licenses in California and Maryland. Dr. Stanley is also a clinical senior lecturer NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and LKC Clinical Teacher/Clinical Practice Facilitator/Content Expert.
Dr Stanley is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honour Society, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Sigma Iota Epsilon Honorary Management Fraternity, and Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honour society for collegiate schools of business.
Commander Stanley retired from the US Navy in July 2010 after 27 years of active service. He has been posted as a Consultant Ophthalmologist to such locations as San Diego, CA, Okinawa, Japan and Guam. While on Okinawa, he completed his Masters of Business Administration Degree while working full time as department head. He was deployed as consultant ophthalmologist aboard USNS COMFORT (T-AH 20) during Operation Continuing Promise in 2009 providing humanitarian eye surgery in Central and South America. His last post before retiring was as the director of cornea and refractive surgery at National Naval Medical Center Bethesda Maryland. There, he was active in teaching, research and direct patient care. He has been performing mission-enhancing laser refractive surgery (PRK and LASIK) on active duty personnel since 1996.
After graduating from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana, Ensign Stanley entered the US Navy in 1983 and was trained and qualified as a surface warfare officer. Following several Western Pacific deployments on USS Niagara Falls (AFS-3), he was selected to attend medical school. He completed his medical degree at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda, Maryland in 1990. He completed his transitional internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego, CA. Prior to ophthalmology residency, Dr. Stanley was an Emergency Department physician at Subic Bay Naval Hospital, Republic of the Philippines until the base closure in 1992. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego in 1996, and in 2008, a cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, Maryland.

Dr Yeo Tun Hang is currently an Associate Consultant with the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute @ Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
Dr Yeo completed medical school at the University of Western Australia, Perth with high distinctions in Ophthalmology, General Surgery and Obstetrics & Gynaecology. He returned to Singapore for Ophthalmology training under the ACGME-I (American Council of Graduate Medical Education – International) accredited Residency Program at Tan Tock Seng Hospital and was awarded Masters of Medicine (Ophthalmology) by the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2016. He subsequently attained Fellowship with the Academy of Medicine (Singapore) in 2019. Dr Yeo is a recipient of the Elizabeth Hunt Medal and also an elected Fellow at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists in the United Kingdom.
Dr Yeo is active in both research and undergraduate medical education. He is currently a Clinical Lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS and Clinical Tutor at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University.

Dr Anoop Thomas is a Principal Staff Physician at the Eye Clinic in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He did his undergraduate medical education and residency in Ophthalmology at St John’s Medical College Bangalore. This was followed by a fellowship training in Glaucoma at Aravind Eye Hospital India.
Dr Anoop is active in clinical research in the field of glaucoma and has been involved in many research projects in this field. He has authored and co-authored many research publications in this field.
He is a clinical lecturer with the Yong Loo Lin school of medicine (National university of Singapore) as well as the Lee Kong Chian school of Medicine (Nanyang technological university). He was awarded the NUS deans award for teaching excellence in 2017/18 and NHG award for teaching excellence in 2019/2020.

Dr Bakthavatsalu Maheshwar is currently principal staff physician with the National Healthcare Group Eye Institute @ Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. He completed his postgraduate training in ophthalmology at Aravind eye care hospital, Madurai, India. He also completed his Clinical Fellowship in Medical and Surgical Retina at the same institute.
Dr Maheshwar is active in clinical research, having presented in many conferences both locally and internationally, and has authored book chapters and published in peer-reviewed journals. He was awarded The Eye institute – Novartis merit award for research in 2006 and distinguished service award in 2014.

Dr Tiakumzuk Sangtam is currently working as a Principal Staff Physician in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Eye Clinic at Admiralty Medical Centre under the National Healthcare Group (NHG).
He completed medical school from Manipur University Imphal India, thereafter finished his Residency training in Ophthalmology (Master of Surgery - Ophthalmology) in one of the top tertiary institute from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research, Chandigarh, India. He further obtained Master of Medicine (Ophthalmology) from National University of Singapore (NUS) and underwent subspecialty training in Glaucoma at the Glaucoma Centre, Montchoisi Clinic, Switzerland. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, UK.
He is passionate about medical education and teaching of the next generation of doctors. He has been awarded four times Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence from the NUS and other teaching awards from the NHG. He is also a Clinical Lecturer at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and an Adjunct and Clinical Teacher, Clinical Practice Facilitator and Content Expert at the LKC School of Medicine.
